Dr. Thilagavathi – Hematologist

Dr. Thilagavathi, MD DM, is a senior clinical hematologist with more than 30 years of experience in the specialty. She is a retired Professor of Hematology at Madras Medical College (MMC) and is currently serving as a Professor and Head of the Department of Hematology at a private medical college.

Dr. Thilagavathi specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of hematologic conditions including anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, platelet disorders, and clotting abnormalities.

She has also gained significant experience in the management of patients undergoing stem cell transplantation for various hematologic disorders, contributing to advanced care for complex blood diseases.

She currently heads the SMASH – Saveetha Marrow and Stem Cell Hematopoiesis Centre and also serves as a clinical hematologist at Udhiram Hematology Clinic, Chennai.
